The hole in the wall.

The film that I saw tells a very interested project which wants to give Internet to poor children, boys and girls, of India.

The idea is followed: To create some “holes in the walls”, it’s a place where there is a computer with internet, outside for the poor children could connect free internet. The only rule is “touch it”, to experiment with it. The other purpose is that the children learn to use computer and internet in their own. This is the reason because they invent their own language to refer to informatics terms that they don’t know.

This method helps them to work in team, for learning collaborating themselves. An example is that a child in the video, the first who learned to use it, explained to his friends how they can use the “holes in the walls”.

Other time it shows to people that Internet doesn’t have frontiers and it gives the same opportunities to all people, doesn’t matter if you are poor or rich, doesn’t matter if you are man or woman …

In addition to, for using Internet and news technologies the boys and girls are interested to learn more and more, it isn’t necessary that the teacher invents activities to motivate them.

Internet it’s a place when I can do anything.
